Due to the fact that everytime I try to check out this account, and it sends me to some random website, I am moving! That's right, moving. I needed an update of layout anyway and a new title, so please call your attention over to the following:

Inverted Playlist Challenge: Fireflies - Owl City
Well, anytime I hear Owl City I can't help but think lots of color and quirky selection of articles of clothing. Well, I decided to play with all the cool colors because the song is about seeing fireflies, and well, you only see them at night, so I played with the concept a wide array of blues and purples at the end of a sunset. A summer night kind of concept.

Inverted Playlist Challenge: Day Tripper - The Beatles
And with that note let's get started, haha. :)

I woke up this morning and just had a spontaneous urge to listen to the Beatles. Beatles Beatles Beatles everything. Well, I felt like I had to do a Beatles-ey outfit to fit the occasion. The seventies came more in mind for me, primarily Across the Universe and their depiction of The Beatles music in that period of time. Day Tripper was probably before their hippie days, but I went with their later interpretation.

Inverted Music Playlist Challenge?
Well, now that I am done I am very very sad because I have no musical inspiration to make outfits...so with permission, I am doing the music playlist challenge that I assigned my sister over at I Get Dressed, with a bit more liberty so to speak, so here's the lineup:
I Never Woke up in Handcuffs Before - Hans Zimmer (from Sherlock Holmes)
Vagabond -Wolfmother (500 Days of Summer Soundtrack)
Ramalama Bang Bang - Roisin Murphy
Fell In Love Without You (Acoustic) - Motion City Soundtrack
Belle of the Boulevard - Dashboard Confessional
Here In Your Arms - Hellogoodbye
Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix
Birds - Kate Nash
The Fox - Nickelcreek
Rhapsody in Blue - Gershwin
and
Feeling Good - Muse
Goodness, this list is overwhelming. Well, better get cracking. :)
Don't Wait – Dashboard Confessional -> Except I might do "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional
Billie Jean – Michael Jackson
Human – The Killers -> And uh "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers
Don't Stop Believin – Journey
Day Tripper – The Beatles
Flightless Bird, American Mouth – Iron & Wine
Poker Face – Lady GaGa
This Is Not a Test – She & Him
Fireflies – Owl City
Starlight- Muse
Blame it On the Girls – Mika -> I think I'll do Mika's "Rain" instead.
Good Vibrations – Beach Boys -> "Sloop John B"
And for additional reference here's a few others beyond the playlist I would like to try:
Vagabond -Wolfmother (500 Days of Summer Soundtrack)
Ramalama Bang Bang - Roisin Murphy
Fell In Love Without You (Acoustic) - Motion City Soundtrack
Belle of the Boulevard - Dashboard Confessional
Here In Your Arms - Hellogoodbye
Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix
Birds - Kate Nash
The Fox - Nickelcreek
Rhapsody in Blue - Gershwin
and
Feeling Good - Muse

Music Playlist Challenge Recap
Guess what! I have completed the Music Playlist Challenge. As a reminder the challenge was to create an outfit that was inspired by a song, which were twelve songs that my sister/fellow blogger I Get Dressed gave me, so it was a stretch from the usual music I gave myself. So in recap here is the twelve songs and twelve outfits I did:
Lightning Crashes by Live

Evacuate the Dancefloor by Cascada

Uprising by Muse

Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood

Umbrella by Rihanna

Soul Sister by Train

Tidal Wave- Owl City

Never Saw Blue Like that - Shawn Colvin

Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles

I'm Just a Girl - No Doubt

I Dreamed a Dream - Susan Boyle/Les Miserables

Consider Me Gone - Reba

I'm not sure what to do with myself fashion-ly speaking. I am very much tempted to do the twelve songs I assigned my sister to myself though. Hope you enjoyed this, I am curious to see which ones were your favorites, so comments are appreciated!
My favorites were probably Never Seen Blue Like That and Consider Me Gone, two songs which I was not crazy about at all ironically.

Music Playlist Challenge: Lightning Crashes - Live
I'm running to the ending of the playlist challenge...Can't seem to feel much inspiration for this song playlist anymore. But basically I just need to throw something on I wore a few weeks ago and take a picture and it will be completed. Lightning crashes is kind of a solemn peace, so I chose a solemn color combination.

Music Playlist Challenge: Uprising - Muse
hmmm, well. I definately thought this was a more rocker, but this picture makes me want to throw up in my hands. I was going for emo face and I ended up looking like crying....and let's not talk about what in the world my legs are doing. Either way it was not a flattering angle for them.
Anywho, inspiration for this one was pretty straightforward. Glam heavy rock. I freaking love Muse so I was more than happy to dress for this song.
And guess what bloggers, that leaves us with one...two left! I have tried Evacuate the Dancefloor multiple times but can't seem to get a picture out of it, and I tried Lightning Crashes, so I have fulfilled the 30 day limit but I am doing redos. So sorry but it's coming!

Music Playlist Challenge: Never Saw Blue Like That - Shawn Colvin
Don't go digging deep for interpretation, I just played on the title because frankly I don't really like slow country at all so I couldn't listen to it. I'm sorry if you like it, it's just personal preference, nothing against you. However, I really really liked this outfit and got loads of compliments today, so something good did come out of it. :P

Winter Protest
Ok, so me and my legs agreed that we are sick of wearing tights and boots and thick stuff and we both needed some breathing room. So I wore one layer (I threw a coat on over later) and floral and said no to tights because I was sick of trying to coordinate them with outfits anyway, so I sucked it up, went outside to what seemed like a nice day but it turned to be bitter cold, so when I got back I threw on boots and felt a little bummed. But whatev, here it is, this dress is amazing! However I might iron and stretch it just a bit next time.

Music playlist Challenge: Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles

Well, my inspiration was very straightforward this time around. I just pulled out my favorite parts of New Wave Eighties....and I indeed had a yellow shirt like the band. :P
This me getting all eighties on you, which does not happen much at all because I am mixed about that decade with fashion (as opposed to the 70s or the 20s haha). But it was fun trying it today, all guys responded to this outfit. One guyfriend of mine didn't recognize me. Two said they totally loved the whole outfit. And those two plus two more guys said they really liked the tie. Yeah, I would be a stylish man if I was a man, haha.

Music Playlist Challenge: I'm Just a Girl - No Doubt
Well, this time the first thing that came to my mind was "Gwen Stefani style!", seeing as she is the lead singer of No Doubt. Well, I didn't go with her sporty side, sorry, I chose her other side which includes the signature animal print, the mixing of prints, and you guessed it- red lipstick. It was a good day, got complimented today on my fashion bravery with putting two prints together. I also got called "Cruella Devil" because of my recent use of animal prints and pleather, but oh well, that's besides the point.

Music Playlist Challenge: I Dreamed a Dream - Les Miserables/Susan Boyle?
My sister reference I Dreamed a Dream to Susan Boyle, but I decided to stick to the original source. Well, I decided to go for a modern Les Miserables outfit, basically channeling Broadway French Civil War chic. :P Well, what better than knee high boots and a peasant top, eh? All the characters in this play aren't dressed all frilly like the Bourgeois so I kept it simple but vintagey. However, I Dreamed a Dream is a romantic airy song so I chose a light color palette and wore my heart pendant with a skirt to channel the soft romantic-ness of this part of the play.
